Iriaini Tea Factory plays a vital role in the local economy, providing employment opportunities and contributing to the livelihoods of numerous smallholder tea farmers in the region.

Established on June 23, 1993, Iriaini Tea Factory serves as one of the nine factories in region four, managed by KTDA.

Iriaini Tea Factory Company Limited is located in Iriaini, Othaya Division of Nyeri County. The factory catchment is well linked to two major towns; Nyeri, that is 25 kilometers away by a tarmac road and Nairobi, Kenya’s Capital that is 138 kilometers away.

Special Projects
Iriaini Tea Factory, in collaboration with other factories in Zone 4, established the Gura Regional Power Company, a small-scale hydro-power project. This Small Hydro-Project (SHP) is fully operational, resulting in a significant reduction in production costs.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Iriaini Tea Factory has successfully established a nursery for avocado seedlings, funded by the fair-trade resilience support program. These seedlings are distributed to local farmers to diversify income and improve food security, thus enhancing local livelihoods and environmental sustainability.
